Our Story

There is an old saying "everything happens for a reason".  For us, that couldn't be more true.  

Fort Worth Stockyards Whiskey and Wine was born from a shared passion, deep roots, and a belief in creating something truly meaningful.  George and JoLene Courtney set out to craft more than just whiskey and wine-they set out to share a piece of their heritage, their story, and their way of life.

George, of Native American descent, honors a tradition passed down through generations, drawing inspiration from the artisanal waters he once shared with his father and grandfather to create their whiskey.  JoLene, rooted in her Scandinavian heritage, carefully selects the finest grapes in the High Plains Region to create exceptional Texas wines.

Together, their paths came together by fate, blending tradition, culture, and craftmanship into every bottle.
